Your doctor is the best person to help you with this. Treatment will depend on many things including severity of hypertension, age, general health, lifestyle etc. Medicines to be avoided, or used with caution, include most beta blockers. ACE inhibitors can cause a persistent cough which could be problematic. Diuretics or calcium channel blockers may be a safe option - your doctor is the best person to help you with this.
