... period week. My symptoms seem to change each month so not sure what to look for each month. With being sexually active I know I am 99% protected from pregnancy but that other 1% scares me. I am having so cramps, breast tenderness, stomach upset and some brownish/white discharge. Is this my period coming or very early pregnancy symptoms?
As long as you take it correctly, you are as protected as possible to be. As you know, nothing is 100% except to not have sex. If you take your pill daily and at the same time of day every day, you have a less than one percent chance of pregnancy. Usually failure of birth control is caused by user error-forgetting a pill, not using back up when appropriate etc. All you describe are normal symptoms of oncoming period. Pregnancy symptoms dont happen until a woman is a few months pregnant. Usually you have missed a period or two before any pregnancy symptoms kick in. If you use the Pill AND a condom, it is virtually impossible to get pregnant.
