... 3rd pill in this new pack. I just started taking micronor when my peroid started last month. I've read it's common for women to not get a peroid at all is this true? I have two children and don't want anymore but my Dr won't tie my tubes because I'm only 28. Being pregnant again would devastate me!! I'm too scared to take a pregnancy test
Yes, its not uncommon to have very light and even no period when on the pill. The pill causes your uterus to build less of a lining each month, so there is little bleed. As long as you take the pill at roughly the same time every day, and don't skip one, the pill is more then 99% effective, so there is little chance of pregnancy.
I got my tubes tied at age 27 right after my second son was born. You might want to get a second opinion on that. I think a woman should be able to decide when she no longer wants to have children!! Your Dr isnt the one who will have to give birth to and raise another child! On occasion, you may skip a period, especially if you have had breakthrough bleeding earlier in the month. If you should skip two periods in a row, you should be tested for pregnancy and consult your Dr. Be sure to take your Pill each and every day at roughly the same time of day. If you miss a pill, you will want to use back up, like condoms, for seven days after.
