I started taking The Pill about a month ago and I missed the sugar tablets (which stop you from getting your period) but I got my period. My friend told me that if you stop taking the Birth Control Pill when you get your period it should stop after a day or two and then once my period stood I should start taking it again. So I stopped taking The Pill about a week ago and I'm still getting my period but it's getting heavier and I've had my period for 15 days now. What do I do to stop my period?
Hi Jennifer, just a couple of things. 1. The sugar tablets (placebos) do not stop you getting your period; it simply doesn't work that way. Usually girls who want to miss a period don't take the placebo tablets but just start the next packet of active tablets. 2. Don't listen to your friend; she has no clue at all.
I couldn't look up what you are taking so I can say nothing about your extended period.
omg how many children does your friend have because she knows nothing about the pill. The sugar pills do nothing. They are just reminder pills so you know when to start the next pack. You never ever alter your pill schedule. You take 21 active pills in a row, then you take the sugar pills. While you are taking the sugar pills you should have a period. If you stop the active pills, you also stop your protection.
