I've been on birth control for almost two years and I usually get my period on the Wednesday of my placebo pills but now it's Friday and I still haven't gotten it. Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex about a month ago and he did not ejaculate inside me, but I'm starting to get worried. All I've had is a little spotting Thursday, and it wasn't really even enough for me to consider a light period, could I be pregnant or can this happen when you've been on birth control this long
If you're taking your pills correctly there is very little chance of pregnancy, less then 1%. The pill was intended to be the only birth control needed. You had protected sex. It is possible to skip a period now and then when you're on the pill. If you skip 2 in a row then you should call your dr.
