Birth Control - I'm on mononessa for about a month and i havent started my period yet? I always take my pills at 8:30am but some days I forget to take them on time.. recently me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex he ejaculated in me and I been on the sugar pills haven't started my period yet should I be worried??
As long as you didn't skip any active pills and the unprotected relations were after you had taken the first 21 active pills, you probably are not pregnant. It is fairly normal to skip a period or start on the last sugar pill, bcp tend to lessen flow and length of the cycle. If you are really worried, go get a home pregnancy test and take it. If it is negative, keep taking your pills, and make sure you start the new pack on time. Certain antibiotics have been shown to lessen the efficiency of the pill, but unless you actually skipped a pill, or have unprotected sexual relations during the first 21 active days, you are likely fine. Best of luck, patti
No, if you've taken them for 3 weeks and taken them every day, you should not be pregnant. When you finish the sugar pills, start the next months pack whether or not you get your period. If you'd miss the second month, then do a pregnancy test. Try to remember to take them on time. If you have a smart phone you can set a timer to reminder you. Your body is not going to produce as much lining in your uterus because of the pill, therefore you won't have as much of a period and sometimes you can actually skip a month.
