I have never been on birth control before, and just began taking birth control (Lutera) last month. I am currently on my second pack, and will begin my placebo pills next week. (I have been taking the pills for about 1.5 months). My boyfriend and I have had sex twice the past two weeks without a condom, and he did ejaculate inside of me. I have been consistent with my pill- have never missed a pill, just have taken it about an hour late twice since I have started. I have been very worried about getting pregnant, in all honesty, what are the chances that I could be pregnant? I just need a little bit of reassurance, thanks!
You are fine and protected if you are taking your pills right. When taken correctly, birth control pills are around 98-99.9% effective. Taking them a bit late on occasion will not affect much just try to get them on time as much as possible. The more "perfectly" you take them, the less the chance of failure (pregnancy). You have an hour each way to be "on time" so if your pill time is 5pm, you are on time anywhere from 4pm to 6 pm
