Sweet alerted me of your question..
I too suffer from endo so i can relate to your pain my dear friend, but as far as treatment is concerned i've tried the depo shot and birth control pills neither worked,my gyne put me on decapeptyl hormone injection which has made me much worse if i'm honest,i wont lie to you,i wish i could make you feel better or give you the answers you want but i have'nt found an answer myself yet.
I had a laparascopy to remove the endo tissue,i have it in my womb and on my left ovary,he wanted to put in the mirena after the surgery but i was'nt keen either like yourself, but i wish now i had gone for that option.
My advice to you is try the mirena if you feel comfortable to do so-at least you can take that out if it does'nt suit you,but please please stay away from the hormone injections,i'm going through so much since i got it 3weeks ago,it has increased the pain and my moods and hormones are all over the place along with sickness,i have another 9weeks to go and i'm counting ddown the days!!
I truely hope you find relief from the mirena, alot of people find it great, its so hard with endo coz you never know whats gonna work or not! Please let me know how you're doing and what you decide!
I wish you all the best, take care
