I have been on birth control now for 4 years. I am super religious about taking my pill at the same time everyday & cannot recall actually ever missing a pill. On Tuesday April 12th I completely forgot my pill & on Wednesday April 13th I took my pill about 11 hours late. I then had sex on Sunday April 17th & started my period on April 25th. I was supposed to start my period May 13th but am now 4 days late. Am I pregnant or am I just freaking myself out? I know it says for the combination pill you have a 12 hour grace period before it's considered "late" but I'm still scared
Easy girl easy. You are most likely you are late. It messes with the time of your period when you miss you pill or take it erratically. Also when a woman gets pregnant she can have her period one more time. My wife did both times. That's not helping you is it? Lol. Don't be worried if you were taking your pill like you said you were you should be fine.
Fyi- After you get through this. There is the 72 hour pill that you can get over the counter(plan B). Its good to have on hand just in case you need to take it the next day after Oops! sex if during that week you missed a pill or two. Then there are several other options like the week pill and the others that can be taken up to 10 weeks after missed period (conseption)
Please use a few different contraceptives together to prevent a pregnancies (birth control like the pill or the many other ones like the every three month shot-thats what my wife is on-or the implant that's 3 years(don't buy into the hype of the problems only hypes talk about with the birth control iimplant. Weight gain and that crap!) If you have issues with forgetting To take your pill on time or at all. Please get on the 3 month shot. It will help avoid these kinds of instances
