I've been on birth control, mononessa pills, for the past three and a half years. Last night I did have unprotected sex and he ejaculated in me. He is insistent that I take Plan B this morning, but I've read that this could mess with my hormone levels and I should be clear if I take my pill regularly and at the same time every day. I'm just looking for some answers or support when it comes to not needing to take the plan B pill in addition to my birth control.
No, tell him if he thinks you should take it, maybe he should try it. You don't need it. Its a huge blast of hormones that only delays ovulation. What you take every day is enough, it stops ovulation. So there is nothing for plan B to delay.
Its not extra protection or magic. It is not meant to supplement regular birth control, you take it when you aren't on regular birth control. Tell him to go read up on birth control if he's got a problem with him wanting you to take it.
