... expected to go into depression. Could I just be wired bass ackwards??? LOL!!!
Big Dog Dad,
Well, depression seems like a logical expected outcome, BUT remember that bipolar disorder IS called manic depression. Depending on what type you have, you may experience short terms of mania and then depression; equally long periods of each, or you may have cyclothymia which slips back and forth from depression to mania and back again without much rhyme or reason. I'm sure you know these following things but I want to caution you anyway: 1) When your depressive phase DOES hit, it will probably be a MAJOR episode due to the nature of the event; 2) I know you said you like your alcohol, but in your current state it could prove even more problematic than normal, and 3) Don't hold your depressive feelings in because an event like this makes you even a bigger risk for suicidal ideations. I hope your situation improves and I hope you can talk with someone when you need to. If you want, you can even find one of us here and send posts just to let us know how you are doing. I hope this helps. Good luck and God bless.
