I have been diagnosed with bipolar my whole life I am now on a good medication reg that stabilizes my mood swings and controls my manic, behaviors lithium xanax and neurotin. However I have always had a hard time concentrating, sitting still for long periods of time completing simple and difficult tasks. If I am trying to work and someone or something distracts me whatever I'm working on mind as well be forgotten. I often lose thing even though I swear they were there. My doctor said it is because I am still manic but I have no mood swings and there is no violence or depression due to my current regimen. I have taken several self tests that point to adhd is this possible and if so how do I explain to me doctor that I need the medication for adhd because he just keeps increasing my current meds and it doesn't help. Please help
