... nausea for about a week and a half and reflux. I was so worried about bile that my GI doctor performed EGD 10 days post op and it showed some inflammation and some reflux. He said he saw no bile. H Pylori was negative. This past Wednesday the nausea returned (had been gone for 3 weeks). It is mild nausea, but worrisome. The reflux returned as well.I am on Dexilant 60 mg. I am experiencing no heartburn or bad stomach problems. My question is is can it be bile without the heartburn? Thank you for your help in this matter
When you have your gallbladder removed, you lose the organ that helps process greasy or oily foods. I had no trouble afterward. My sister did. We all are different in how our bodies react. For most of us, a very small bit of the gallbladder will regenerate and help us process the oily, greasy part of foods. Our bodies will do their best to compensate. I'm no Dr. and can't explain it any better.
We can have diarrhea, nausea, heartburn and more. It can all go away, too. We can tell our Drs. to see if they can help us out, especially with any heartburn, but we're all going to vary on our outcomes.
