Just curious as to what exactly it is and if it's causing the abdominal pain and rib pain? I have an appointment to see the doctor in a few weeks. I'm a 26 y/o female
River; You can google it and see many different answers but truly it might be best instead of getting yourself all wound up is wait and talk to the doctor. they are fairly common but more in men than woman and it is just like a Hernea where in can be in the abdominal area up in the diaphragm area and are repairable a lot more simple than in the old days. Yes once you get these fixed as you notice both places you are talking about pain is where these ones show up so when you get these fixed you should be in great shape again. I still say it is really confusing and rather than looking these up wait until you see the doctor. You will have much less anxiety over these and in most cases, it is a one time fix. you have really had these since birth. now Have a great weekend. Chuck1957
