I lost my job a few months ago and as a result, lost medical insurance. I am now down to my last 1/2 bottle of Effexor and Ablify. What is the best way for me to come off these medicines (since I no longer have insurance coverage)? I know for Effexor especially going off more slowly is best, but I don't have that option since I have few pills left. I have gone from taking 3 pills a day to 2 pills a day, but have been sleepy and have a headache. Any suggestions?
I can tell you where to get it cheaper, because I did it until I got medicare. I'll friend you so ok it when you get the email, then I can tell you. There are also places where you can apply for help, if your income is under their limit. These are The CoPay Relief Program 1-866-512-3861 or www.copay.org; or Suddenly Senior www.suddenlysenior.com/patientassistantprograms.html; or Needy Meds www.needymeds.org; and Partnership for Prescription Assistance 1-888-477-2669 or www.pparx.org www.freemedicine.com www.access2wellness.com
