Am on Klonopin, Remeron, Soma & Prilosec but need something for the actual pain and can't tolerate codeine or NSAID's. Any suggestions?
Might want to talk to your doc about a few hydrocodone with tylenol for a couple of days. That might work. But with your stomach issues, I don't know the best time to take any pain pills related to the prilosec and absorption. That would be a question for your pharmacist.

Well, I have a few. First, I also have DDD, and I just got a spinal neural stimulator implanted. They can implant up to two, if your back has problems all through the spine. They do a test run first to see if you are a successful candidate, and rest assured, you would know before you ever had surgery. The second idea I have is a spinal "drip"? Not sure of the correct name, but they also implant a box or something in you fill it with morphine or some pain med, and it slowly drips into your epidural space in your spine. The purpose is two fold. One, you use MUCH LESS meds than systemically, and second, it bypasses your stomach. I hope that I have given you some workable suggestions. Good luck!
My son is allergic to codeine so the doctor recently put him on Vicodin for his torn rotator cuff pain, & it works good for him. I also have stomache issues & take omprozole with my first oxycodone 15mg in the morning & thruout the day & hae not problems with it at all. Are you allergic or does it just upset your tummy like the NSIADS I can't take them at all or I'm bending over in pain. You shuold be ok to take pain pills as the prilosec should be handling the acid reflux you get... Mary
