Nardil stopped working after 2 months, last refill pharmacy gave from two different manufactures. Not sure whether this is the cause of it not working anymore
I take name brand Nardil but 2 years ago Walgreen's switched me to generic w/o my consent or my doctor's consent. After being on the generic for 4-6 wks I started having break through symptoms. After talking to my doctor I noticed on my pill bottle "Phenalzine?" which is the generic. Pills were identical. My doctor called Walgreens to refill RX with name brand Nardil. It took about 3-4 wks for symptoms to leave. I just couldn't believe that Walgreens changed it w/o consent. The pharmacists are EAGER to get everyone on generics bc they make more money on them, even though they are cheaper for consumer. So, yes watch out for what they fill. Pharmacist told me the generic was mfg by same company as name brand but evidently something was different bc it was not as effective as the name brand Nardil. Thanks for listening!!
