i just found out that i have gastroparesis and i was woundering what was the best way to transition into eating better for my sickness... im struggling with my weight and have a hard time picking the "healthier" foods. My diet consists of everything you shouldnt eat if you have gastroparesis.
Eat multiple small meals a day trying to avoid as much fat and fiber as possible. Make sure to cook fibrous things like veggies till they're soft almost mushy to help break apart the fiber. Eat more chicken and pork than beef because it is easier to digest. The biggest thing to try to do is eat things that are easily digested. It's hard to begin but gets much easier. I had a lot of help from dietitians in learning how to completely change my diet and would highly recommend seeing one to anyone recently diagnosed, it helped me out greatly. Hope this helps you some
