Hi, evet! Yours is a question only the patient's physician can answer. Elderly patients and those with dementia are more sensitive to both antipsychotics and to the mood stabilizer Lithium which are commonly prescribed. Some should not be used at all. In addition, every person reacts differently to these drugs so there is no "best" drug.
The doctor will have to decide based on the patient's condition, symptoms, and history..
Best wishes, WCV
