Will bentonite clay baths dry out skin and exacerbate eczema?

I have eczema. I have been reading about the benefits of calcium bentonite clay. It is reputed to help detoxify the body. I was wondering whether anyone had any experience with clay baths.
If I had eczema I wouldn't put anything on my skin without my dermatologist oking it. Our body does its own detox, we don't need to do all this faddy stuff.
Many clay skin masks are bentonite clay. It is good for drawing out clogged pores, I'm not sure how it would help eczema but I agree with Kaismama that you should discuss it with your dermatologist.
I also have eczema and wouldn't use any bath product that is clay based. Clay draws oils and moisture out of your skin, certainly not what you want to do with eczema. Hope this answers your question sufficiently.
