Uses of Bendroflumethiazide
A diuretic (water pill) used to prevent the water retention, or oedema, caused by heart conditions or pre-menstrual bloating. It can also be used as a treatment for high blood pressure.
Precautions While Using This Medicine
It is important that your control of doctor your progress to the regular visits to make sure that this medicine functions correctly. This medicine can cause a potassium loss of your body: To help to prevent this, your doctor can want you: eat or drink foods which have high contents of potassium (for example, orange or other juices of citrus fruits), or take a potassium supplement, or take another medicine with the assistance prevent the loss of potassium initially. It is very important to follow these directions. Moreover, it is important not to change your mode on your clean.
It is more important if you are already with a special mode (as for the diabetes), or if you take a potassium supplement or a medicine to reduce the potassium loss. Additional potassium can not be necessary and, in certain cases, too much potassium could be harmful.
