Belviq (lorcaserin) is a drug used to treat obesity. It works on chemicals in the brain that affect appetite. It is sometimes used to treat obesity that may be related to diabetes, high cholesterol, or high blood pressure and is used in conjunction with attention to diet and exercise.
Belviq is usually taken twice a day with or without food. It does not matter when you take the doses so choose a time when you are most likely to remember. It is probably best to take the doses 12 hours apart but not essential.
