Hi kam.kez - I really don't know the statistics on Bells Palsy recurring. I had a moderate case of it about 15 yrs ago and have not had any recurrance since. Mine lasted several months. It was really scarry because I was afraid I would be like that forever. I don't know how bad yours is but in my case it looked like the right side of my face had kinda melted. I was terrified. But then one day it just went away and like I said no problems since. I hope this helps.
Best wishes -Terri-
I had bells palsy years ago after ear surgery. It lasted about a month, and I have not had any problems or issues since. I do notice when I smile one side of my mouth seems to operate a little better than the other, but trust me when I say that even I have to REALLY look to notice anything. Anyhow, it's been about 6 years with not even a hint of recurrence, so I wouldn't worry too much.
