... back. The dermatologist told me the one on my back had been growing for about 3 years and tumors broke off from the main tumor. These were 2 years apart. Neither BCC looked like the pictures I've seen on the internet. I also have red bumps that resemble bites several places on my body and they itch. Has anyone else had this?
I am so sorry for your problems. I have had five MOHs all in the same place the corner of my left eye. The basal cell was deep and had to have reconstructive surgeries after each. The dermatologist I have seen told me last November the cancer was back in the same place after a biopsy and I needed a SIXTh MOHs . I decided to try a new drug erevidge by genentech to avoid the pain of two more surgeries, however the side effects have been difficult and I am now on a break from it at the suggestion of my oncologist. The drug works the cancer is gone as well as the pre cancer lesions in other areas. I have been seeing dermatologist at Emory Clinic in Atlanta for over 20 years, I have never heard of a tumor breaking off into other tumors, I was told that my reoccurrence was from a field of cells, and that I had advanced BCC. I think they are discovering more about BCC. I have had itchy places on my chins of all places the front of my legs would be red and very itchy, no one would say that it was part of the cancer. It has stopped the itching and the lumps also on my chins. I wish you well, and can only suggest research on line, Mayo Clinic, Duke, teaching hospitals they can really inform giving you options. Ask about Advanced BCC.
