I had all my teeth pulled on August 23 2013, had my dentures put right in. I'm not in that much pain, ibuprofen usually works just fine..my question is the bad taste that works out around my dentures. Should I be worried that it could be an infection?? Thank you Rhonda
I suggest that you swish gently with salt water (1 tsp. salt to 8 oz. of warm water). Don't take the dentures out until the doctor tells you to, but it won't hurt to swish. That will help clean under the dentures and, hopefully, help with the bad taste. It will also promote healing. Do not use mouthwash. It is too strong for you right now. When do you go back to the doctor to have the stitches removed, another week? You can use the salt water 3-4 times per day. Hope this helps.
