Deb; Yes for most people with chronic pain these have proven to be very effective, It is not like a normal pain pill, This is also used for a combination of things such as anxiety, depression, and has helped lots of people with chronic nerve and other types of pain. But you must take it just as the doctor has prescribed it. And you take it about the same time each day. with or without food but whatever you do always take it the same way with food or without food it helps with the absorbshine and the first week or two you may get some side effects from it but they normally go away as you continue to take the medication and it well also start to show some difference in your pain level but everyone is different on when they may notice relief. You have to take this regular and it well reach the blood level in your system between 6 to 8 weeks. Also sometimes they have you take another type pain pill at the same time until this kicks in all the way and see what relief you are getting from this medication. Best of luck.
