What can i do for bad odour? I had tests done and doctor said im fine? But i still have this really really bad odour :( i want it gone ASAP
Do NOT douche! The vagina is self cleaning and does not need to be douched. It will cause more problems than it solves because it upsets the delicate balance within the vagina. It can change pH plus it can kill off the good organisms that keep the bad ones at bay. A vagina will smell like a vagina no matter what you do. The vagina normally has some odor. All you need to do is clean the outside with mild soap and water or a gentle cleanser like Johnson Baby Bath. If your Dr has said that there is no infection or problems then I must assume whatever odor you notice is normal. If you have recently become sexually active, you will notice a little stronger odor. When a woman is sexually active and her male partner ejaculates within her, the sperm can cause a little stronger odor than she is used to noticing from before she began having sex. This is just a normal part of being a woman.
If you listen to commercials on TV, they will make you think there is something abnormal about a vagina smelling like a vagina what with "Summers Eve" douche ads and adds for other "feminine odor" products they tend to make a woman feel there is something nasty about her vagina. We dont see ads about men's musky balls (which they do have)! But anyway, if your Dr has checked everything out and it is normal then you can be pretty sure that any odor you are noting is normal too. Just keep the outer labia areas clean with soap and water daily, wear clean cotton underpanties and avoid wearing nylons and synthetic fabrics-you want fabric that will breathe like cotton. That is all you need to do.
