I was given a vial of epogen they said just came out of the refrigerator. But the vial was warm to the touch ... should I take it
It is stored in the fridge but you want to warm a drug to room temp before it is injected for comfort reasons-this is probably why they had it up to room temp. I assume you got this from a Drs office? If they told you it had been stored in the fridge then you must decide whether or not you trust them to tell you the truth. I do know, having had worked in many Dr offices, if we expect to give injections, we may store drugs in the fridge but will take them out to warm to room temp if we expect to give them that day.
