I've had a really difficult year both emotionally and financially,my anger and anxiety became an issue after all these things happened...
Chris70586; There are many things my friend that can cause or trigger panic attacks Chris and I could talk to you for years on this. But know you are not crazy this in many cases are caused by a chemical imbalance in our system mostly in our brain. You can live a very good life with this condition. But it sounds to me like you have had a lot of trauma in your life over the last year or more. Trust me you really need to see a Doctor. and or a therapist to talk this out with. Many really bad things can cause things like PTSD it does not have to be being in the service we can get it from terrible things out of our control. And now days being treated with the new medications they have you can be a new person. I am not saying it is PTSD this you need a doctor to figure out and you may not even need medication it could be just talking over all that has been going on over the last year. Chris, the sooner you make up your mind and get in to see a doctor the sooner you will get relief from these terrible panic attacks. And it could help even more to have talk therapy. And this can all be a bad memory soon. But you have to make the first move Don't worry about anything others think I have learned that so many people right around us are taking medications or therapy sadly it is all too common. The choice is up to you Chris. But to get better and get away from the anxiety and panic attacks But you need help to get this sorted out. There is no miracle pill But there are far too many things to upset the apple cart. In all of us. Please for your sake seek that help as soon as possible you won't regret it. And Please feel free to write back anytime part of the problem is learning and knowing you have a problem and you have done that now it's up to you to make the next move. If you need help or question when you see the doctor feel free to post if it is about medication. And there are a lot of fantastic people here to help you. NOW IT THE TIME CHRIS. Trust me it does not go away with its self. I would like to hear from you when you have seen a doctor and see what is going on. Or just to know you're doing okay. Have a good Thanksgiving. Chuck1957
Hi, Chris! I couldn't agree more with everything my friend, Chuck, just said. There's no shame in asking for help and there's no need for you to have to live like this, but it's up to you to take the first step. Try your family doctor first and see what she/he has to say... try therapy and/or medication to help you through the initial stage. You might even consider a referral to a reputable psychiatrist.
You seem to have good reasons for being this upset but it also sounds like it's more than just a situational reaction and it's been going on too long.
Do yourself a favor and make an appointment as soon as you can and get yourself out from under this thing.
Best regards, Wildcat
