My child was prescribed this antibiotic, but has only been receiving one dose from me, and the person asked to give it to him in the morning has not been giving it to him. Will he develop antibiotic resistance? What should I do?
It probably won't get rid of the infection and could develop resistance. I would call his dr. He may want to make some changes. Would it be possible for you to give it if was every 10 hrs?. It would be better if it was given like that twice a day then to try to keep it strictly 12 hours and have him get only one dose if you can't depend on others.
