Bacterial Skin Infection - Has anyone had a resistant skin infection in armpits? my drs have treated

have had this treated with clindamycin also recently and a nasal antibiotic ...this is painful and depressing...
I've seen this twice in the past year. It could be MRSA and for that you need more then 10 days of sulfa drugs. Ask your dr to do a culture of any drainage and find out what antibiotic you need. If it is MRSA you need a longer then average course of antibiotics and you need the correct antibiotic. The other thing you can do yourself is wash your arm pits with 10% bleach solution every day. This kills bacteria. Until you get rid of the bacteria in your system, these will keep recurring.
