If your asking if your sciatica nerve problems is reason for a surgery. No there is nothing that can be done for sciatica nerve pain. The nerve swells up and becomes pinched. The sciatic nerve goes through over a muscle location in you hip area 3/4 people have the nerve go over the correct way. The other 1/4 of people have it go through under the muscle in a way that puts it at risk of being pinched or rubbed against. If the muscle is swollen you get pain if you sit or lie down wrong you have pain. If your If born with a significant defect then yeah surgery is need to correct that. Most back surgeries are because of disk issues.
