Hi coldman and welcome. I've had surgeries in the early 90's and didn't get much relief. I learned abput ablation last year when I went to pain management for the first time. Haven't had it. You might want to try a different medicine. There are a lot of them that may help. I've had to change my lifestyle to start with. Learn that what you did in the past be done now. I wish you the best.
coldman, I agree with mike47, I think. I'm sorry if that's wrong. But I do agree with him. I have a few MRI,s, that the Dr.s say I need back surgery, but due to a blood disease, I can't have one done now. My husband thinks my body isn't strong enough for one. But my pain Dr. Has mentioned Radiofrequency Ablation, due to a bulging disc that's pressing against some nerves, causing a lot of pain. He's mentioned a nerve stimulator implant. I've heard good and bad things about. I've had many Facet injections, and Epidurals. Some have helped, some not. I want to get that disc fused really bad, because of the chronic pain. But I don't know if that's the way to go. Definitely, as Mike mentioned, different medication may help a lot. I would talk to my Dr. And be firm about what your on, isn't working. Not too firm. You may get nothing then, and we don't want that. Many Blessings to you, and best of luck, Ruthie
