what type of medication is good for numbness in left arm
It depends on what caused it. Most of the time it's due to nerve compression and or damage- like putting a rubberband around your finger tightly it hurts first, eventuallydecreasing the circulation to the nerves which than cause numbness.
However, to answer your question, medications used to help numbness are ALWAYS a treatment for the CAUSE. muscle relaxants might be tried for spasms of the muscles,ibuprofen-like meds to decrease inflammation and there are many more examples of meds as well as other type treatments like massage, acupuncture, traction and even surgery.
Numbness, of any kind, associated with back pain should be evaluated by a physician, period. If you don't have one, show up at the ER. God Bless- hope this helped.
