Stop using azelastine and call your doctor at once. One common side effect is red eyes, but a serious allergic reaction we are warned is happening if you experience a rash, itching/swelling (esp. of the face/tongue/throat - there's your eye swelling), or trouble breathing. That's not insomnia - that's your brain waking you up, saying "I need more oxygen". Please take care!
