Long story short, I've been taking 20mgs of lexapro my entire adult life. I began the 20mg dose when I was 16 years old and am now almost 23. I've realized I don't know the woman I am without lexapro and I've started to taper off..is this even possible? Please share stories or success as well as failure as I am trying to decide what the best way to go about this! Thank you!
Attempting to relive my life without lexapro, is this possible?
Do not try this on your own. With your Dr on board, a gradual, supervised reduction over a 6-8+ MONTH period. This will avoid withdrawals that can linger twice that long and, well, you do not want to go down that road. During this time; give of yourself, Volunteer at a hospice, helping the homeless, visit a nursing home where folks have no visitors. You will come out the other end renewed, recharged, a new you, med free.
