- ativan, alcohol, medication
I am a 100% disabled veteran who is also an alcoholic. I was a medic in the military and so I know about medications to a point. I have been rx'ed atavan in the past to get off alcohol and have some left... I want to dose myself since I cant get the va to call me back... is it as follows:
1 4 times a day for 2 days
1 3 times a day for 2 days
1 2 times a day for 2 days
1 twice a day
then as needed?
I would advise you not to do this without help. I know they are horrid, but you must persist and get the help and monitoring of a Dr. What you state here is much too fast and that's asking for trouble. The quickest I would do this is change the 2 days to 10 days in every example you give, and even that is fast. Persist and get a Dr. to help you do this over 2-4 months for best results. Hope this helps and THANKS for your Service.
I am not sure what you're wanting to do?
Are you still needing to get off the alcohol and you would like to use the ativan to do so?
Hi, this is a similar sequence as the one i used for the same reason, but with Librium instead of Atavan. It was a 10 day detox though. I remember just having one capsule on the last day of detox. You have listed taking 1 twice a day for 3 days, did you mean to type that? I have to add that i was being seen each morning at a detox center so was being monitored. Will you have anyone with you when you detox? I would be worried about you being totally alone... please write back...
