They are not the same but they are very similar and used for the same purpose - to treat high blood pressure.
They both contain the same diuretic called hydrochlorothiazide but contain a different angiotensin ll receptor antagonist.
Atacand HCT is a combination of hydrochlorothiazide and candesartan.
Diovan HCT is a combination of hydrochlorothiazide and valsartan.
