We been to the pet hospital and the vet dr gave us furosemide and prednisone medicines and it didnt help much for his wheezing and coughing it's like he s have hard time breath and trying to cough something out ... So the vet wants x ray but we cannot afford it ?
It doesn't sound like it's an asthma thing but more like fluid in his lungs. What the vet ordered is appropriate for that. I wouldn't give him anything the vet doesn't order, dogs don't always respond to meds the same way we do. I know you want him comfortable. Just see that he has water to drink, the furosemide May make him thirsty.
Hi, Sammy! In this situation please do not, as depending what inhaler it is it will probably interfere with the drugs he's already on.
I would suspect that his heart may be involved and an X-Ray and ECG are going to be essential.
Ask the doctor if they accept CareCredit or a Care plan, or find a vet who does. You can apply at home or the doctor's office and generally everyone is approved immediately for small amounts. Pay it back within a set time, usually 90 days, and there're no fees or interest. Or if you need longer, the interest is far, far below credit card APR's. You can use the card for veterinary care, prescriptions, and your own medical costs.
Good luck with your boy and please let me know if you've other questions. WildcatVet
