... on 20/2/19 then to 225mg on 6/3/19. This was due to severe depression & high anxiety. How many weeks is “Normal”to notice a marked difference in my overall well-being. I can’t take much more of these depressive episodes,lasting for hours
Sorry to hear of your struggle with depression and anxiety.
Since you have been on Effexor for several weeks it should not take the new higher dose a full 8 before a marked difference in symptoms if evident. However, I would certainly give the new higher dosage 4 weeks to kick in. But know that you may notice some continual improvement beyond the 4 week period.
Hang in there, I suspect that you may well notice some continual improvement each day going forward from here.

Effexor never worked for me and I was on it a year just because I was in school & didn’t want to dea with withdrawals. I finally got off it & am taking Zoloft . If you’ve been on it longer than 2 months it may not be right for you. This is just t experience, I’ve tried any many antidepressants. I can’t even take birth control pills because they make me Depressed & anxious, but I’m overly sensitive to meds...
