I took Asacol for a few years in the late 80's then stopped. My understanding is that Asacol creates a barrier or lining on the wall of your large intestine, thereby protecting the infected area. Over time, however, has anyone heard of that barrier eventually breaking down and possibly releasing this matter into your blood stream?
I have recently started to loose my vision in my left eye and we cannot find the source - key areas like heart and major arteries are open and clear. The reduced vision is the result of a blockage in one ofthe small branch arteries of my retina. This is simply some out-of-the-box thinking / research. Thanks to anyone with any possible info.
