my pharmacy told me asacol has been discontinued if so what alternative is currently available
The manufacturer has stopped making the brand asacol. However there are other brands out, lialda and rowasa, and the generic mesalamine is available. Often times manufacturers stop making older brand name drugs because they aren't making a profit anymore.
