I am not traveling until April and was going to take the medication in its box with a prescription.
As long as you bring your medication in its original packaging/bottle with the pharmacy label on it and readable, you shouldn't have any problems getting it through customs in the States. It isn't a controlled substance, and from what I can tell it is available by prescription in the US under a different trade name. As long as you're bringing a reasonable amount of them into the States, you will be fine. I.e. if you're going to the US for 14 days, bring enough medication to last you 16 - 18 days... don't bring enough for six months!
I hope you enjoy your trip!
