I have gained 20 pounds that I cannot get rid of. Six months ago, my cardiologist changed the meducation (to treat the high BP) to carvidilol, a non-selective beta blocker/alpha blocker. I may have lost 4-5 pounds since the switch, but still am unsuccessful in shedding the extra weight. Any ideas on better ways to treat high BP without the weight gain?
