Armour Thyroid - Just rcvd email from friend saying we over 65 should not take armour. I've been on it 20 years. Anyone know details?
CME has put a list of drugs that are potentially harmful to those over 65, so insurance companies jumped on that and said they aren't going to pay for it, "for our own good, like they really care" . I just had to get my amitriptyline authorized after being on it for 40 yrs. I don't know why a birthday should change what we need. I say if you've been on the drug and doing fine, leave it alone. You won't have to change, but somewhere along the way the part d may want a pre auth on it.
