I wondered how long methadone will show up in a standard U/A? we have random drug screens at my job, I was wondering if there was something I ould do to speed up the process???
methadone is a long action pain med and opiate replacement and I hate to tell you this, but a person can pop positive for methadone ( or suboxone/subutex) for a couple of weeks after the last dose. You would do better by exercising than trying to flush, exercising may raise your metabolism. If this is an isolated use, you could clear out pretty quick if you are younger than 30, on the slimmer side and have a relatively fast metabolism. If you are older than 30, heavier, or take any type of other sedating meds like benzos, muscle relaxers or other rx pain meds, your metabolism will be apt to be slower. I hate to give an answer that will scare or upset someone, but you could pop positive for a couple of weeks.
