Estrogens, which are present in all combined oral contraceptives, may reduce the hypotensive effect (lowering of blood pressure) of Avapro.
Avapro taken with Progesterones, also present in all combined oral contraceptives, may increase your risk of hyperkalemia - high potassium.
You will need to discuss your contraceptive options with your doctor.
Given your current medication, birth control pills may not be your best option.
