Both of them are forms of oxycodone. The oxycontin is usually stronger and can be in an extended release form.

Hi there how long, long time no see. They are the same basic medicine. They come in different strengths and usually oxycontin is time released. Although oxycodone is available in extended release form, it's usually used as a breakthrough med.
