Trying to find support for the hypothesis that form affects how much of a vitamin/mineral supplement is absorbed or if it is immaterial. Need reputable references.
Generally the dose form of a supplement (eg tablet, liquid, injection) will not affect the extent of absorption (how much is absorbed) but it will affect the rate of absorption (how quickly it is absorbed).
For example if you needed pain relief quickly - the same dose of a liquid dose form would work quicker than a tablet dose form ... but the same amount of pain relief would eventually be achieved.
Hope this helps.
