... Are the generics still around in the same formula as before? I to get oxycontin for chronic pain. I had 5 back surgeries, brain surgery and leg amputation all in the space of 3 yrs. I am in pain 24/7 and that was the only time I had any relief at all. Now the Drs. have me on something stronger than that was and I like it better because it has almost no withdrawal symptoms or not for me anyway. And it helps pain a lot better. But I took the OPs when they first came out and they do not help at all. I think they are placebos myself. If they would of helped the pain it would of been ok but they didn't do anything at all for me.
Try to get the Doctor to give you Opana ER ... They come in 20mg, 30mg and 40mg ... They all are like the old OC's but stronger... 20mg = 40mg OC, 30mg = 60mg OC and a 40mg = 80mg OC ... take them with a oxycodone 30mg IR ... You will be pain free... I promise you... I have been on the OC's for over 10yrs ... then 2 months ago I couldn't get the real ones... I tried the OP's for 3 weeks, I had to buy drugs on the damn street to get pain free, until I got in my doctors office after a friend Dr. of mine told me about the Opana ER's comming out... They Work... Try it to see if it works... Then tell Perdu to get --- well u know what I mean...
I know in February when I caught the fall and the doctor had to change my pain medication she talked with me about the Oxycontin but she also explained just exactly what we see on here, she said she had heard patients say that it was like taking a glass of water for some patients and so she just said she would not consider prescribing it. from everything that I have seen on here I had so much pain I would have had a rougher time and I could not even sleep at nigh the change to Opana along with the use of anti-inflammatory medication made a big difference.
